📍 Introduction
In April 2025, the leadership team of Aviation + DG Training School proudly represented Pakistan at the prestigious IATA World Cargo Symposium (WCS) and the 3rd CBTA (Competency-Based Training & Assessment) Conference— the global stage for shaping the future of air cargo training.
Attending the event were our Group Chairman, Mr. Mohsin Dharsi, and our CEO, Mr. Hassan Dharsi, who are jointly leading our mission to deliver world-class CBTA DGR Training in Pakistan.
This was more than a conference — it was a reaffirmation of our commitment to quality, compliance, and innovation in aviation education.
🌍 Why It Mattered
With over 1,000 aviation professionals in attendance, the IATA WCS serves as a global convergence point for regulators, airlines, ground handlers, and training providers. For us, participating in the CBTA Conference was an opportunity to:
✅ Learn about upcoming updates in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (67th Edition)
✅ Align our training systems with the evolving CBTA framework
✅ Connect with other accredited CBTA providers from Europe, Africa, and Asia
✅ Showcase how Aviation + DG Training School has been pioneering CBTA DGR Training in Pakistan through real-time grading, role-based assessments, and performance tracking
🧠 What We Took Away
The biggest message from the 3rd CBTA Conference?
Training must go beyond information delivery — it must build competence.
We’re proud to share that we are already implementing many of the practices discussed at the global level, including:
- 📲 Real-time grading using our in-house LMS
- 🎯 Role-specific assessments that go beyond generic knowledge
- 📋 Continuous feedback and improvement tools for both trainees and instructors
- 🛫 Full compliance with IATA CBTA methodology, built around real-world tasks
🇵🇰 Representing Pakistan at a Global Level
Standing among training providers from across the world — and representing Pakistan — was both an honor and a responsibility. Few institutions from our region were present, and even fewer are as actively involved in CBTA implementation as we are.
Since February 2025, we’ve held regular DGR courses in Karachi and Lahore, training freight forwarders, screeners, exporters, and ground handlers under the CBTA approach.
We didn’t just attend the conference — we participated, shared, and learned — and returned more committed than ever to delivering CBTA DGR Training in Pakistan that truly makes an impact.
