Earlier this year in March, IATA held its very first IATA CBTA conference in Istanbul, Turkey. Every year IATA organizes the World Cargo Symposium Conference, This year IATA introduced the CBTA conference at the WCS Conference and organized its very first IATA CBTA conference that was only for IATA Authorised CBTA Centers.

Mr Hassan Raza Dharsi Director and head of Training was representing Aviation DG Training School also participated in the conference.

Aviation DG Training School takes Pride in participating in the IATA WCS Conference. We had the honor of participating, and becoming one of the 130 IATA CBTA Centers from around the world, Being part of this prestigious conference was a real privilege.

Here are the key takeaways:

  1. IATA discussed the upcoming IATA CBTA checklist and its importance. The good news is, that it will soon be available for everyone on IATA’s website, making it accessible to all.
  2. IATA emphasized that the success of our training sessions won’t just depend on how many people attend. Instead, it will be all about the quality of the training provided by the IATA CBTA Center.
  3. ATS Accredited Training Schools, now part of CBTA, will not only offer training in Dangerous Goods but can also request CBTA certification for other courses, based on majority voting.
  4. IATA added to feature of all CBTA providers’ logos on its website. This will make it easy for everyone to find details about CBTA Certified Organizations.

At the end of the conference, a group photo was taken, which was a great chance for everyone to connect and network.

Mr. Hassan Raza Dharsi, ADG Head Instructor and Director, had insightful discussions with key figures like Mr. Yaniv, Principal of IATA, Training and Certifications and DGR Inspector Mr. Eric Tan, and Mr. David Brennan, Head of Cargo and DGR, along with many other participants. They talked about recent policies and global trends in the Aviation and Cargo Industry, reflecting CBTA’s commitment to advancing aviation education.
